Useful Information for Participants

“Workshop on Strategic Electronic Commerce and Management” will be held at Kamolmart Room, Siam City Hotel on 6^th Floor, May 23 - 25, 2001 from 09:00-17:00 hours.

This training program is being arranged by Electronic Commerce Resource Center (ECRC) under National Electronic and 
Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Ministry of 
Science, technology and Environment, Thailand

The attached Registration/Reservation Form must be completed and returned to Ms. Saisamorn Naklada, Electronic Commerce Resource Center, NECTEC by April 25, 2001 at Fax (662) 642-5105 or E-Mail : saisamorn@nectec.or.th  
in order to finalize hotel reservation and other necessary arrangements.

The registration on site will be set up at the front of Kamolmart Room and will commence at 08.00 am each day during May 
23-25, 2001.

For your general information, the following transportations are available from Don Muang International Airport to the Hotel:

• Public Taxi; Taxis with and without meters are available at the authorized public taxi stands in the arrival hall of the airport. Taxi drivers are only permitted to pick up passengers at these authorized stands.

• Airport Limousine Service; The Don Muang International Airport has a limousine service to various destinations in the city. The “Limousine Counter” is located at the arrival floor of the airport.

The following hotel is recommended for participants to stay during the workshop training.

Block booking has been made at these special rates inclusive of the presently applicable service charge and all presently 
established government taxes as well as American breakfast for only the workshop participants : 
                                         
                                         Single Baht 1,700 net/room/night
                               Twin Baht 1,900 net/room/night

The hotel will add any additional taxes, should the Thai government decree so within the period of contract.

To reserve the recommended hotel accommodation with those special room rates in advance, the Hotel Reservation part 
appeared in the Registration / Reservation Form shall be completed and submitted by the deadline to the workshop 
organizer only .

Participants who are nationals of the following countries do not require visas for a temporary visit not exceeding 15 days:

               Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Rep. of Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, and Singapore

Participants of countries not listed in any of the above will have to obtain visas prior to their visit, regardless of the duration. Where there is no Thai Embassy or Consulate in a country, they are requested to make a brief stopover en-route at a convenient place to obtain the required visa, it is not possible to get a landing permit from the Immigration Authorities at the port of entry should participants fail to secure entry visas.

Foreign Exchange Rate            
                           The Foreign Exchange Rate as on March 16^th is Baht 44.17 to a US$. (please check again)

Weather           During May the average temperature varies from 30 to 35 degree celcius.

Airport Tax               Airport tax amounting to Baht 500 is to be paid at the time of departure.

Local Time               GMT+7 hours.

Electrical Current      220 volt, 50 Hz.

Due to procedural difficulties and budgetary constraints, NECTEC is not to bear the cost of insurance for the participants, any medical expenses or any other expenses. NECTEC therefore requests your administrations to kindly make necessary arrangements for insurance and medical coverage of your participants before travel.
